Moderation policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
The principle
A review published on YourXP tells the story of a real experience. The good ones and the not-so-good ones: a wall where everything is perfect convinces nobody.
Where do reviews come from?
Every review shows where it comes from:
- Left on YourXP: written, filmed or recorded by the customer through the business's review page.
- Verified customer: left through a personal, single-use link given by the business to an identified customer.
- Imported from Google, Trustindex or a file provided by the business: taken as is, with a link to the original when there is one.
- Collected by the business: a testimonial received by email or message and entered by the business; never presented as verified.
What gets rejected
- Reviews unrelated to a real experience, or written by the business itself.
- Insulting, discriminatory or defamatory content, or content that exposes someone's private life.
- Personal data (phone numbers, addresses) and advertising links.
- Reviews obtained in exchange for an undisclosed incentive.
Who moderates?
The business approves, hides or deletes the reviews on its page; it can choose to publish new reviews automatically. It cannot edit the text of a review. The publisher steps in when something is reported and can remove any review or any business that doesn't follow this policy.
Replies
The business can reply publicly to each review. The reply is shown under the review, signed by the business.
